Pandora Systems Wins Again at Annual MIMC Awards

BOSTON, MA October 22, 2003 -- The Massachusetts Interactive Media Council (MIMC) has once again recognized Pandora Systems for its exceptional work developing Web-based technologies. Pandora took top honors in the Travel, Tourism and Hospitality category at last night's annual MIMC Awards for its work on the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) Web site, www.massport.com. New Tilt Inc. provided the interface design. Pandora adds this citation to the four previous MIMC awards it has garnered since it first opened its doors in 1999.

Pandora won this award for its work enhancing and updating the Logan Airport Flight Information Display System (FIDS), which allows users to view real-time flight radar information on the Logan Airport Web site (see www.massport.com/logan/a_default.aspx). As part of this effort, Pandora redesigned the existing system to integrate radar-tracking data as well as flight data from the Authority's other airports. In addition, Pandora designed the updated system to take advantage of XML technology, which allows Massport to repurpose its flight data for mobile devices as well as for syndication to other Web portals. To date, several such portals have expressed interest in receiving FIDS data from Massport.

The annual MIMC Awards ceremony is the largest and most prestigious of its kind. Winning a MIMC Award is considered the highest possible honor for companies in New England that design and develop online systems, multi-media titles, and other Web-based technologies.
