In order for an online system to be successful, it must be based on a clear understanding on the project's goals. Depending on the type of project these goals will involve specific technical and functional requirements, and might also be tied to a broader communication strategy and/or brand message.

We begin each project with a discovery process designed to clarify the customer's goals and to identify all of the larger communications, marketing and branding issues that need to be taken into account. During this process we explore:

• the primary goal(s) of the system/Web site
• any secondary goals
• key tasks and user expectations
• important audience information
• if applicable, the organization's value proposition, marketing message, and brand promise

We also offer stand-alone consulting services to organizations in the process of developing a technology strategy. We can help you translate your business requirements--whether they involve marketing, communications, transactions, operations, or all of the above--into a realistic, implementable technical plan. This plan could be as simple as a set of technical recommendations or as comprehensive as a functional specification. If appropriate, we will also help you write a Request for Proposal document.
